The Editor by Steven Rowley

2.0

I thought I was going to love it, but I merely liked it. For a book titled "The Editor," the editor doesn't make much of an appearance, even if her impact is what drives the plot forward. I also found it unbelievable that Onassis would invite a stranger to her Martha's Vineyard home, even if that stranger was an author she was working with.

Prodded by the titular editor, James, the protagonist, goes on a journey of discovery that leads to shocking revelations that unravel what he thought he know about his childhood. He is a grown man, but he makes plenty of immature choices during the course of the book that this exasperated me.

This review makes it seem as if I did not enjoy the book. I did. It just did not fulfill my expectations.
