Midnight Sun
by Stephenie Meyer
I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm honestly speechless: it took Stephenie 12 years to get over the Midnight Sun leak.
She's finally over it, and we FINALLY have this book that will give the whole manuscript leak incident its well deserved closure.
The time to do it, I don't mind saying, was for the 10th anniversary--back in October 2015. A tenth anniversary would have been the perfect occasion to let bygones be bygones, close the chapter and spare us that abomination of a gender swap that clearly catered to the main criticism that Bella was a damsel in distress (she was, no gender swap gimmick will ever change that).
So, almost 15 years after Twilight's debut we finally get Midnight Sun.
I can't believe this is real, I can't believe I come to find out this is happening after I've been thinking the other day that it'd be so nice if Stephenie finally released this book for Twilight's 15th anniversary; Steph was already way ahead of me.
Thank you, princess.
(Side note: almost for the 12th anniversary of Breaking Dawn...I don't care, it's coming and it's already available for preorder at Barnes and Noble.)
I am happy. I'm incredibly happy, and I don't care what anyone thinks of Twilight because everything they say is true: I still fucking love it and will gladly fork out $27.99 + tax for the shiny hardcover first edition. Yes, ma'am!
I have a small problem though: what the fuck is that cover?
What is that? What shit is that?
A gutted pomegranate? The thumbnail looks like a butcher's cut of flank.
It's awful, and why a pomegranate?
WHAT IS THAT?
