wabbitone 's review for:
An Abundance of Katherines
by John Green
I have seen so many negative reviews about this one but I disagree, mostly because even though I am no child prodigy, I love mathematics and so it wasn't that difficult for me to understand the theorem and also I really identified me with Lindsey, that her personality changed around people and nobody knew who the real she was and also with Colin when people just assume that you can learn anything and know everything when you are good at studies (I repeat I am know prodigy, I am just fairly good at studies)
The anagramming was really hilarious and I like it because of the Harry Potter series where 'Tom Marvolo Riddle' anagrams to 'I am Lord Voldemort'. And the one thing I absolutely loved was that how beautifully the real message hidden beneath the layers of humor is revealed at the end.
And if you love books and quotes, you cannot read this line once and smile to yourself:
"Books are the ultimate Dumpees: put them down and they'll wait for you forever, pay attention to them and they'll always love you back."
John Green is perfect at weaving humor and philosophy together. Not like the best book and not life changing but does teach you certain things that the future is unpredictable and you should not worry too much about mattering.
Though I hate the title, not works for me, Katherine shit was annoying at times and we do not even see even one of them in the novel, they are just talked about. 'Gutshot' or something along its lines would have been really better.
