Lucky in Love by Kasie West
2.0

As I was reading this I had the thought that maybe I had outgrown Kasie West because I struggled with this from page 1. I love Kasie West, she is my favorite contemporary ya romance writer. Her books are usually magic for me. This was lacking all things I attribute to Kasie West. The main character Maddie wasn't fearless, funny, or just all around awesome like Kasie West's main characters usually are. Maddie came off as immature and I had a hard time believing she was an 18 year old senior in high school. Kasie West writes the best romances that always leave me swooning. However, in this case the romance was so blah and Seth was like a cardboard cutout where I felt that there was nothing beyond the surface.

After finishing this I don't think I've outgrown Kasie West I just think this is not a good book.
