I’m so sad! This book sounded right up my alley but it just didn’t hit for me. This was actually my second attempt after DNFing the first time so I’m not totally shocked. 🙃

Let’s start with the positives. There was a lot of potential. The modernisation of witches had moments of magic, I was super excited to get sucked into that side of things. ✨
Also the social issues discussed in this book are obviously something I love seeing in literature. The representation was there. 👍🏻 

Unfortunately, I just found it hard work, even with the audio. It was a slow start, started to pick up and then lost me again. 💀
The witchy vibes didn’t hit for me, the characters I didn’t really care for and the world just felt normal…🙈

So many people adore this book, it just disappointed me.
