This book did not capture my attention right off the start, so I was already dragging myself to read it, hoping to check this book off my tbr.
Every time the last paragraph of a chapter ends off with a new revelation or a new mystery surfaced, it is followed by a lengthy character-description chapter that causes the thrilling feeling to dissipates. This led me to lose all interest in finding out the mystery of the plot, instead, i was more interested in the romance aspect.
The ending did not help either. It did not feel rushed for me, since the middle of the plot is already so dragged-out that the sense of urgency and enthusiasm in me is long gone.
I do feel that the ending could be better. I don't know, the ending just didn't feel as impactful to me as her other books.
