This "small" book will pull BIG on your heartstrings. I had been seeing this book everywhere and know it's part of Oprah's book club but I hadn't read what it was about, nor did I know it was already turned into a movie already! As someone who was raised Catholic, I have a lot of thoughts around what the church has done and this cements more of what is wrong with them. Highlighting the good though...Furlong is such an incredible human being and will have you asking yourself if you'd risk so much to help another person.

As Stephanie Harrison of New Happy teaches us, doing for others will make us happy and that is exactly what Small Things Like These encompasses.
