Lonely Castle in the Mirror focuses on 7 Japanes middle schoolers that're transported through their mirrors into this mysterious other world ruled by a little girl called "The Wolf Queen." They are given an opportunity to get any wish granted if they find a key and a wishing room before the end of March. If they do, everyone will forget about what happened in that world.
I would've liked if we had spent more time focusing more on the psyche of the characters rather than the mystery of what ties them all togetherespecially since that doesnt matter for finding the key to grant the wish. We do get a decent dig into their memories, but that's done all at once and at the end, so it didn't feel as rewarding or Impactful, and nothing much came out of it except for Aki's memories.
Overall, it was a fun lighthearted read that felt too long and didn't focus on what I felt like it should have.

Graphic: Bullying
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Child death, Pedophilia, Grief
Minor: Chronic illness, Suicidal thoughts, Death of parent, Alcohol, Injury/Injury detail
Aki has a college age boyfriend and no one addresses it like it's weird or wrong. Even when she introduces him to family. So, just be aware. It's not a major plot point, but it did give me ick vibes every time it came up.
