The Art of Racing in the Rain
by Garth Stein
Oh you have to read this Garth Stein’s The Art of Racing in Rain! It’s so captivating and I was so immersed to read it all in one day. Told through the narrator, Enzo who happens to be a dog, this let me to see the world through the eyes of Enzo, a nearly human soul who is actual a dog. A story about second chances and true value of family and what’s the worth fighting for even if you have nothing left in the world. This is a book you will not forget.
Update: August 8, 2019
This is a reread book this year! I forgot how good it was. I finished it quicker than last time, loving every words. “Like the last strong autumn wind that rattled the trees until the remaining leaves fall, brief but powerful was their visit, signaling that the season had changed, and soon, life would begin again.”
If there is one word to describe this book, it would be preservation.
