Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid
5.0

I consumed the audiobook as a read-along accompaniment to the text based book.

I very much enjoyed the book, and the story content.

For the audio aspects:
Starting off the audio narration makes the book much more interesting and fun.
After a while, through the length of the book, there were times that it seemed a bit too much.

One voice-character in particular (this was a full cast narration) was rather annoying.
I felt the voice that was used depicted a little too much of the character's personality. I feel like some more of this should have been left for the "reader /listener" to paint themselves through the actual dialogue that that character was using, rather than having a voice act which was too exaggerated.

I really did appreciate the narration of the Spanish dialogue. It made the whole story much more authentic. I would certainly have missed the essence of it had I soley relied on myself, (as a non-Spanish speaker), to read it off of the text version.

Having the Spanish narrated also helped me as a non-Spanish speaker, to make sense of that part of the content.

Overall, I much enjoyed the audiobook. As a read-along, I felt it added interest to the book.
