I made it 231 pages into this book before DNFing it. I tried really hard to continue with it, especially since I received an early copy. However, since I put it down a week before, it felt like such a chore to pick up and finish it. I may pick it up when the audiobook comes out.
My issue with it is basically that the voices between Caroline and Lila are so similar when we are in their POVs. The only way I could tell them apart was from their surroundings.
Also, when we were under Lila's POV, Caroline felt like a stranger. It didn't feel like the person we were getting to know in her POV.
Another things is, I wanted more. I'm not sure exactly what I wanted more of, but it felt like the story had so much to offer and I wasn't getting it.
I will be passing this ARC to my friend who I feel will really enjoy this story.
