No Ordinary Love
by Myah Ariel
This was my first Ariel read but definitely not my last. Very palatable quick read. The plot was fun and immersive. I enjoyed the FMC and MMC they were likable and relatable. I am wondering the inspiration for the story bc reading Mariah Carey’s memoir and knowing about her whirlwind romance with Derek Jeter while she was trying to escape from her marriage from Tommy Mottola, there seemed like some obvious parallels in the story.
For fans of hollywood behind the scenes tropes and friends to lovers this one is a fun one. There is some spice but it was very tastefully done and I appreciated that immensely. It was also very realistic and not out of sorts or unexpected in the plot.
