King: A Life by Jonathan Eig

5.0

I started listening to this Pulitzer Prize winner yesterday. 25% in and I’ve already learned so much about young MLK Jr, his family, and his educational journey. I’m excited to continue today.

Finished on 2/5/25. This was such an engaging, eye opening read. The author interviewed many of Dr. Kings close friends and colleagues, giving insight on his mental health and spiritual evolution. I wasn’t aware he was strongly opposed to the Vietnam war and it ruined his relationship with LBJ.
I strongly recommend this book. If you are an audiobook listener, this was very well read.
