AMENDED REVIEW 4/21/2024: this author has been caught brown-facing. They are a white person masquerading as a Latinx author. They have lied and deceived many readers and authors and agents alike under the guise of a false identity. This goes beyond pen names, this is a fabricated life and complicated web of lies to ensure their success. I highly recommend looking into the history with this author before reading their books.
My favorite thing about this story was the pacing. It felt like a huge build up to the moment of the exorcism and it was such a good pay off. It was worth sticking with, it was so satisfying. I loved this author’s beautiful way of writing and the way they describe intimacy and relationships and everything. I want to read everything this author writes now. What an amazing story!! I loved the queer representation and the magic.
