How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell
3.0
3.5⭐️
In a time when dragons are disappearing, Hiccup recounts his earlier years when he had to capture his dragon and learn how to train in. Being born as a Viking and the son of the chief, he needs to successfully pass a series of tests with his dragon or risk being exiled from his village.
I listened to this on audiobook and had an absolute blast with it. The only downfall is that I watched the movies first and fell in love with those. Because of this, I think it dampened my ability to enjoy this book which is very different from the movie storyline. The best part for me though was the level of sass that Toothless possessed throughout the entire book. Very entertaining, comical and good natured. Will definitely pick the next one up in the future.
