I read the first book in this series last year and have had the next ones on my list for a while. Since I decided to complete another Alphabet Challenge this year, I added this book and a couple others by Wendi Gogh to the list. And I was not disappointed. While it was predictable, it was also a really fun read with a lot of character growth, laughs, and sorrows. This is my first book with a Cthulu as the MMC and I loved the way the species (not specifically the mythical god) is portrayed, except for the spawning. BUT even that part was still a good part in the book because it showed off how strong Tula and Chaos’ friendship was and how much Chaos is willing to do for his people. Marea (love how this is spelled) is such an amazing character. Open-minded, afraid but brave, and loving. I adore her and Chaos and hope to see them again in later books, even if only for a moment. Check out this book for a quick read and some giggles (especially the red box scene 😉).
