Murdle: Volume 1 by G.T. Karber
4.0

Love the idea of Murdle (this is #1) in book format! Not only is this an ongoing emerging mystery story but also deduction puzzles (elementary, medium and hard boiled) to solve with clues such as people descriptions (right-handed, hazel eyes), locations (ancient ruins) and objects (decoder ring, piano wire). The author recommends using a grid and pencil for jotting down observations, following along with Detective Logico.

I am besotted with this new-found interest which prompted me to visit the Murdle website. The premise of the book is fantastic and it oozes wit and Clue/Agatha Christie vibes.

Though I worked through the first few puzzles on paper (with the help of hints in the back), it was challenging as the clue pictures/illustrations did not appear on Kindle format. I am dying (!) to complete the remainder in the physical version.

My sincere thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for providing me with an early digital copy of this engrossing puzzle book!
