Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum
3.5

This book had a lot of potential, but fell short. I wish there was more development to really show why the other love interests weren't a choice rather than have it be dismissed as weird or merely brushing them off as not interested or interesting enough compared to the main male character. Additionally, Julie Buxbaum set up such a good relationship, but didn't give readers the after. She built up to a moment, gave the big confirmation,
and ended it. Just like that.
Overall, I think there were also different ways to make the book display the standard juvenile awkwardness in a tasteful way without having to include the details about sex-ed, the deed, etc. She didn't need to add it, as the characterization already had the classic coming of age feel and illustrated how Jessie was figuring things out, like a regular teenager.
