I'm obsessed with the worlds and characters T. Kingfisher creates, she does such a wonderful job of combining horrifying and mystical elements into one heartwarming tale. 

This follows a princess turned (kinda) nun, finding a group to help her kill her sisters husband, the king. Full of bonedogs, demonic chickens, witches, ghosts and a royal curse/ blessing this is such a fun adventure. 

I loved the imagery, the characters and the dashes of romance thrown in the mix.
