The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
5.0
Beyond Epic !
I should I have read it the first time I heard of it ! This book truly is a master piece !
The writing is so gripping, it's extremely hard to put the book down ! The mystery was epic. The crime solving was epic ! Characters were epic ! I am just in love with everything about this book and it will take time for emotions to go down a bit. Ahhhh...
I love Lisabeth Salander so much ! The character building was so good.
And oh the ending, heart breaking ! I didn't ship Mikael And Lisabeth but of course I felt bad for her. Why? :'(
All in all, a definite must read !
Alright, the book started so slow that if I didn't have a rule " Read all books till the end", I would have dropped it. It was too 'business' like stuff for me to enjoy. Also to mention, Lisabeth Salander was almost absent for about 10% of the initial part of the book.
Well, the story did kick in. After Henrik Vanger's call everything was so exciting.
Of course, I enjoyed all the tiny details while solving the 'crime'. In my opinion, Mikael's investigative part was more interesting than Salander's but of course Salander's was good as well.
I didn't think Martin would be the serial killer in the end at all. Great reveal that !
The case was done with and I enjoyed it. The last moments were breath taking !
The Wennestrom case was fun too but not as good.
Then there was the 'love' triangle. Oddly enough, nobody was interested in any body but every one was ! . I honestly didn't ship Salander and Mikael. Mikael and Erika are great ! Mikael was the first person she thought, who treated her like a human. So it was obvious why she was drawn even to someone 25 years older than her. I hope she heals. Lisabeth Salander is such a beautiful person but she is so damaged. I hope everything gets better for her and most importantly she and Mikael stay friends.
Gonna read the sequel soon :)
