I'm Glad My Mom Died
by Jennette McCurdy
challenging
dark
emotional
funny
hopeful
informative
reflective
sad
tense
fast-paced
Even though I'm giving this a 5 star, I don't know how to properly rate it with the star rating system.
If you're interested in reading this, and don't know much about Jannettes story I'll give a couple TWs here: Abuse from a parent, ED discussion, creepy behavior from a show director/creator (we all know who at this point hopefully), mentions of alcohol abuse
It was one hell of a read. I have so many strong feelings for Jannette. One of the thoughts that kept coming up for me, which is rare for me to think in the first place, is "yeah I'm glad she's dead too." I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that after reading it.
I hope Jannette is in a good place now. Or at least a better place.
