Alyssa is in her senior year of college and right before the New Year she finds out she’s pregnant. With zero support from her family, she ends up pregnant and homeless. When her best friend Maddox finds out what’s happening, he immediately demands that she move in with him. The only problem is that Maddox has been in love with Alyssa for as long as he can remember. Can he be in forced proximity with Alyssa without confessing his feelings to her? And will Alyssa finally notice Maddox as something more than her super sweet best friend?

Maddox is an absolute sweetheart. He is extremely smart, a great friend, and madly in love with Alyssa. I can’t even imagine having someone step up the way he did for her. She was at her lowest and he did everything and anything to help her.

Alyssa was definitely put through the wringer, but she is extremely strong. I loved watching her growth throughout the book.

This story took off and had me hooked from the start. I would say I was hooked for the first 20% and it feel flat in the middle. It did pick back up for the last 20%. It even had me in tears, but I think it just dragged on a little bit for me. They took so long to finally admit their feelings. Mix in major miscommunication issues and that is why the story fell a little flat for me.

Teddy Hamilton and Stella Hunter did an amazing job as always. They truly elevated this story. I didn’t think I would cry in this one, but they both had my emotions all over the place with this one. They are true storytellers and I will listen to anything by them.
