Great start to a new series!
Dante has been someone of interest since the Dark Hearts series and this was finally his story.
I loved everything about Dante. From tortured soul to his murdery side. 👀
He is basically forced to marry someone or he will lose his empire and that's when the hurricane named Tempest comes in.
Tempest has nothing to lose and so she does everything she can to make sure no ones she cares about does. She tricks everyone including Dante and signs the marriage agreement that cannot be irreversible.
Tempest is a lot but I liked her. She has absolutely no F***s to give anymore and I loved that about her especially when she puts people in her place.
Them together were explosive but more importantly everything Tempest needed. I loved seeing them become entangled together.
What I didn't particularly loved was that it was mentioned over and over again how triggering Dante should've been but wasn't. One time would've been enough.
I must say that I thought the third act would be something but it ended up being something else that I wasn't expecting.
Overall I had a good time and I obviously can't wait for Alastair's book next.
