erebus53 's review for:
The Stonewall Reader
by Edmund White, The New York Public Library
medium-paced
This is a really excellent collection of interviews, memoirs and art pieces collected by New York Public Library. Some of the interviews are old sound and some are narrated transcripts. Robbie Daymond stands out as one of my favourite narrators.
Some of the ideas are old but this shows how trends and though about gay identities and lives have changed over the decades, and how much has changed.. but also stayed the same.
Definitely a good read if you are interested in Human Rights, especially gay, lesbian and trans identities.
