Twisted Lies by Ana Huang

Oh. My. God. I knew Christian was going to win me over but I didn't expect him to completely blow me away. I mean I was in love with this series prior to this book being released, and we had gotten glimpses of Christian throughout the series - but getting to see him in his entirety, to see how his mind works and what makes him tick? Well I have to admit that he is one of my ultimate book boyfriends. Though, I think I say this about every guy I've read from Ana's books.

Christian is a CEO of a security company, one that's been involved with previous stories and hiding troubles. He is a man who's life has been turned upside down from when he was young, and he has a hard time of letting people in. He's always skeptical of people (and honestly, I get it, I would too) but also doesn't take his wealth or position for granted. And I mean, we all know that the closed off guys tend to be the sweetest and softest guys in the world. And often the best boyfriends. His friendship with Alex, Josh and Rhys shines through this book, and things that you didn't even think would band the guys together did, and it was all in all such a heart-warming ending to such a heart-wrenching series. Like Ana, as I've said before, where do I find a guy like one of these boys because this girl is TIRED of being single!

Let's talk about Stella, a girl after my own heart (sorry Christian). She's an independent queen, who legitimately takes life by the hand and switches the deck she's gotten to her advantage. But, she's also reserved and cautious, which is the best type of people. She knows who she needs to be depending on who she's around, and of course, spending time with Christian forced her to come out of her shell and just be herself in all circumstances. She loves whole-heartedly, sets goals for herself (and strives to accomplish them), and doesn't let anyone run her life. We need more girls like Stella. I'll be honest when I say I was nervous about Stella because we barely got insight on her throughout the books and well influencers tend to have a bad rep, but I would want a Stella in my life (heck I would want to BE Stella), and it was just amazing to see a female main character who pushed herself to be better and to grow.

This story is full of angst, of moments of me yelling at my Kindle "just KISS already" and then tears. OH the tears. There's sweet nothings that I could only DREAM of being told to me and a love story that's unconventional, but honestly one that is so sweet and honest. And to be honest, we all know Christian was in love with her from the get go.

Ana you did not miss with this book and I am SO excited for this next series. I am forever going to be your number 1 fan.
