Literally sobbed during the prologue but hardly felt anything for the rest of the book (and I’m an easy crier)
Didn’t love Julie as a character, thought nearly everyone lacked depth and even some people were a bit annoying
Thought it lacked nuance and often told rather than showed, which made the book quite repetitive.
didn’t like there wasn’t any closure with the Taylor situation, and think the ending was super anticlimactic and rushed
Some of the writing was quite pretty though
“His song sounds like drops of water falling softly on clay rooftops in the spring.”
“Sometimes I wish I could skip a few years into the future to see where I end up. So I don’t waste all this time planning things out, only to have none of it go right.” Same girl
