Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams
by Matthew Walker
It was a fun read! And, don't get me wrong, sleep is super duper important and I totally agree that people should spend less time working, and more time resting . I also agree with the whole lighting thing but that's because the bright blue from LED lights friggen sucks.
BUT this book seems pretty over-the-top in its claims. It's almost as if the person who wrote it could turn this fear into a very lucrative career?
Conspiracies aside, it's important to sleep! 7 hours is enough and you're going to be okay.
(found this fun blog post poking holes in Walker's first chapter, idk who is right in this case I'm not a sleep doctor: https://guzey.com/books/why-we-sleep/#appendix-what-do-you-do-when-a-part-of-the-graph-contradicts-your-argument-you-cut-it-out-of-course )
