This was a beast of a book. One of the most difficult and enjoyable reads of my life. Felt intensely claustrophobic from the beginning. Never giving the reader anything. Explaining the entire plot early on and meditating retelling expounding smelling feeling each turn after. The last 60 pages are like nothing else. Why did I read this. Do I hate this book? I don’t. I don’t! I don’t!
