Our strong MFC does the unthinkable and makes a name for herself. This story was phenomenal and gives you a glimpse of the life of an Egyptian (Kemet) teen. It’s highly different and unconventional for someone of her status to do what she does in this story, however, her determination took hold. The be connected to the Gods and Goddesses on a completely different level, it’s amazing. Now I’m hoping for another story to come because I need to know what happens next. This has found family, traitors, war, and even an LGBTQIA character. Clean book outside of all the blood shed. It kind of gave me Mulan vibes- but to a different extreme! Loved it.
