From a Scowl to a Smile! I knew Daire's romance would be my favorite and it was even better than I could have hoped for. His attitude has meaning, and he had intense underground outlets for it. Gavin is his light, and Daire has unknowingly had a protective and soft side for him for a while. I adored that Gavin was a sweetheart but that he so much personality and fun quirks of his own. He just naturally knew when to push Daire in the perfect way. The chemistry with these two jumps out at you in every little banter between them to the steaming hot intimate times. I enjoyed Donovan's reactions to hearing things about them being together. So comical and fit this entire series dynamic. I found myself book marking so many laugh out loud moments between all the Princes. Their friendship group is legendary. "Appreciate that, but my knowledge of a compass ends at north, south and our two dumbass friends". Dare I say, I am kind of going to miss all of Daire's broody surliness in the next few books though!
