this book would’ve been so much better without the Jake storyline. the fact that all 3 guys wanted her but moved on so quickly just felt so forced, and Jake being into her was sooo icky to me. it would’ve made so much more sense if she had started a fling with Noah and then fallen for Kaleb, or if there was a little more of a fight between the guys. there was so much build up and tension with the guys but basically as soon as it started, it ended. i also feel like she and Kaleb didn’t have enough of an emotional connection to justify her being in love with him after a few months. he doesn’t talk and he was so hot and cold with her, that it really just felt like he stockholm syndromed her into a relationship with him. i feel like the romantic plot of this book was purposefully more complicated in order to keep the readers interested, but i honestly think it would have been better if it was more simple.
