A beautiful beginning of Bitter Creek series. This book of Creeds' and Blackthornes' feud that seems to last forever. But somehow, Callie Creed and Trace Blackthorne fall in love, a big no-no. But, Trace then left Callie to pursue his own life. After many years, they met again and the story began. Trace tries to win her back. It's as if Trace never learn that he can't have everything his heart desire. A lot of bad things happen to the Creeds and Trace always there to help Callie and her family. Despite of her refusal towards Trace's "generous" aid, she can't help it. She's been hard, stubborn and all but Trace will always know how to soften her. Callie, after many years has passed, never stop loving Trace. She wants to go with Trace but as an eldest, she couldn't run away from her duty towards her family. She has to choose. Her family who depend on her or the one she loved forever, Trace. Is there any guarantee that nothing bad will happen to the other Creeds if she wasn't around? Will she lead a happy life with Trace?
