This was fine but I’m really glad these books are library books and I didn’t buy them because it’s a mixed bag for me.
I really like Eros and I thought he was very complex and I really enjoyed him being in love with Psyche because he was being selfish. He was a great character… but I wish I could say the same for Psyche.
She is much more one dimensional than Persephone and that makes it harder to anticipate what she’s going to do in a frustrating way. I wish she was way more interesting but she’s just nice and isn’t considered traditionally beautiful because she’s fat. Like, that’s not enough for me to like her.
Again, the spice was a letdown, as was the marriage of convenience (which I usually love) and she wasn’t interesting enough for me to be really invested in their romance.
