Ruthless Vows by Victoria Ellis, Victoria Ellis

TROPES:
- forbidden romance
- age gap
- rival families
- mafia
- touch her & die

I really liked this book. At times, it did feel a little long but overall, I liked it. There’s many layers & things happening and I loved that. It was quite the ride. I do wish we got more into Giana's relationships with her brother (read the book to understand). I feel like part of that was swept to the side and I think it would've added more to her character.

PLEASE LOOK AT THE TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE YOU READ IF YOU DECIDE TO.

Giana Amato wants out of the life she’s being forced to live. Her impending marriage to a cartel member is the straw that has broken the camel’s back. Her father isn’t letting up though. Giana wants to make her own decisions and live her own life. So that’s what she gonna do, just this once. Dante wants to make the Amato family pay for the taking & death of his wife and sister. He will do whatever to takes to avenge them.

I loved Dante and Giana. The way they meet is everything. I love the instant attraction they feel was as you’d expect but I still loved it. Giana goes to a sex club (owned by none other than Dante DeSantis himself) with her best firend with one thing on her mind, finding someone to give her virginity to. After meeting Dante, Giana knew Dante was the one. Dante feels a strange connection to Giana and can’t explain it. He wants to know more and more which he isn’t used to. I love the growth in both of the characters. Giana really grew into herself. She did what she needed to do even in such difficult times. I love Dante showing his softer side to her. He wanted to protect her but not shelter her, which I really loved because that’s exactly what she wanted away from. He really treated her as an equal.

If you’re iffy about the clifhanger, don’t let that stop you. It’s kind of like a sub plot but not really. It doesn’t mess with the main romance plot, which I loved. I loved how there were layers to everything. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK LIKE NOW. I NEED TO KNOW HOW THIS IS GONNA GO. and I selfishly want more Dante & Giana which I hope we get in the next book
