Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll

1.0

Ugh I honestly can't say this book is worth reading, while the concept is rather interesting it's much better suited being a children's movie as the books make very little sense. There is almost no plot, we just follow Alice around as she experiences this weird and wonderful world, but nothing ever actually happens.

On top of this, Alice is quite frankly a brat and her attitude makes most of the book a drag to get through.

I also struggle to banish the reality of this book from the actual work. That Lewis Carroll wrote a weird fanfic about his friend's CHILD daughter while smoking a ton of opium. On a Lewis Carroll tour, i took in England the guide revealed that Carroll's creepy obsession with the real-life Alice freaked out her parents so much they refused to let him see her - making the book he wrote about her very uncomfortable to read.
