Our MC, Misha, a screen writer and director who is a (fairly) closeted gay man living and working in Hollywood. He's been nominated for an Oscar for his recently released live action short. Simultaneously, executives where he works want him to straighten out or kill his queer characters in a series, whose tension and romance he's been building up over time.

Misha refuses to capitulate, launching a series of very unfortunate events that impact him and those around him, as "the board" is unhappy with his decision, feeling it will result in fewer returns from a financial perspective. Soon, characters from his horror flicks start showing up taunting and threatening Misha, his best friend Tara, and his partner Zeke.

Thrown in the mix is a high school reunion for Misha, as well as a number of flash backs that help readers understand the horror characters (literally) haunting him in present day, as well as their inspirations, ugly as they may be, from Misha's past.

Our protagonist is in for the ride of his life, and a not-so-fun adventure, but one in which he finds himself, and chooses to own who he is, and what he's about. I'll definitely be reading more from the mysterious pink masked Tingle.
