The Rejected Writers' Book Club by Suzanne Kelman

4.0

If you enjoyed Amy Hill Hearth's "Miss Dreamsville and the Collier County Women's Literary Society", you will love "The Rejected Writers Book Club" by Suzanne Kelman. Filled with strong and quirky characters whom you can't help but love, this is the story of Librarian Janet, who gets pulled into the shenanigans of an eclectic group of ladies, authors also known as the Rejected Writers. The group is on it's way to it's 500th rejection letter, until the unthinkable happens. AN ACCEPTANCE letter. What would make any normal writing group excited, almost breaks up this group of friends. In order to keep the group together, they must head to San Francisco and retrieve the book submission. Unbeknownst to most of the group, the author has included an embarrassing story that will upset her mother.
My favorite part of the book was when they group was stuck in an old resort during a big snowstorm. Funny stuff!!!
