interesting premise & really good descriptive writing but ultimately disappointing & unsatisfying with a very expected ending. like annihilation (as far as the whole concept of the wastelands is concerned) but take 100 steps back.  & speaking of comparisons, as someone who loves piranesi i feel like i’ve been bamboozled…..

tldr: no hate but this should be categorized as YA.
