I was sure this was going to be a 5 star and then in the last 30% it just absolutely went downhill

Josie is meant to be an unreliable narrator, someone who isn't completely innocent and I get it - she isn't perfect. But redeeming Walter who still groomed her and making the victim the villain really soured this book for me. I get it not all groomed victims are perfect people but what exactly was this book trying to say by making us sympathise with Walter in the last moment?

Honestly from a craft perspective this book is a 3 or even 4 stars - but this book's handling of grooming is so irresponsible and something that doesn't sit right with me personally.
