There is just something that hooks me when it comes to legal thrillers and/or procedural thrillers, and this one had it all!

I can’t even count how many times I audibly gasped, at surprises I did not see coming (which is huge for me because I usually can predict “plot twists” even the wildest ones), but this book kept me on my feet!
I was lucky enough to be able to tandem read this book with an eARC (from @stmartinspress) and an ALC (from @macmillian.audio ) the book was great. And even though I didn’t think it could get any better, the audiobook as well as the narrator of said audiobook was simply AMAZING! I was able to comfortably listen at 2x speed and the voice acting gave unsettling edge and atmosphere which I absolutely LOVED!
