The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend
by Kody Keplinger
I saw this was being made into a movie so of course I wanted to read it. It was okay. I couldn't really relate to Bianca. She seemed to complain about everything, basically your typical teenager. While the story was interesting, some parts seemed overly dramatic and the ending felt rushed.
I rented the movie after finishing the book. Other than the name and the names of the characters they are COMPLETELY different. Not just like they changed or left out some scenes different, but like the whole thing is different. I think this made me appreciate the book more because it had a more unique storyline, whereas the movie was pretty much something I've seen before. However, I liked Movie Bianca much better than Book Bianca.
I recommend saving your time and skipping both the book and the movie.
