Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult

I enjoyed this story. I think it was an in depth story that had some unexpected revelations. I really connected with some of the characters. Josie especially. I think Peter was interesting despite the lack of self given information. Some of the adults felt flat or over the top. None seemed very realistic, the exception probably being Lacy or Patrick. But Alex, the lawyers, seemed either superficial or over the top respectively. That could be my age and perspective though. I also think that some of the teens were exaggerated. I think that the "jocks, nerds, losers" etc are not as prevelant as the book makes it seem. Perhaps in larger cities they are, but I think they're rarer than portrayed. I also think the bullying was interesting. How it escalated and no one did anything. It's something you instantly want to say is exaggerated but almost positively is not.

Overall, I would recommend it but I think you really need to want to read it to enjoy it.
