The fact that this was originally published in 1987 and is still relevant is a testament to its insights. Given Soros' success its worth the short read if you work in the investment industry. His promotion of the reflexivity theory in relation to economics is interesting and at a minimum a perspective worth factoring into one's developing view on markets. So much of the content of this is philosophical and a bit abstract at points, which a broad macro-oriented theory like reflexivity probably demands, but it would be interesting if it were paired with some quantitative backing or examples. This made me curious to read some of his other writing.
