This was so much more complex than I was expecting, and I was all for it.
Our characters were fleshed out, the setting was detailed, and the plot was well thought out. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
If you're interested in alien romance, then look no further. I love this subgenre because I enjoy figuring out how the author is going to make me fall in love with the alien main character, despite it looking inhuman (a spider of all things here) and being... well, an alien.
Would I re-read this? I could see myself rereading it. The world is complex and the romance develops slowly, with a satisfying progression and intimate moments.
Would I recommend this book? Absolutely, if you love alien romances and you like a plot and maturity in your stories. I really liked this one.
