I'm glad I listened to this as an audio book as I think I would have really struggled with the pacing of I'd have read it. As an audio book I did really enjoy it, I found myself wanting to keep listening and finding any moment to do so, though I have very conflicting thoughts on the books itself! The main character is deeply unlikeable, which I realise is the whole point, though I don't know if the recent trend in current realist fiction of these 'character driven by individuals who are flawed to the point of almost irredeemable' novels are necessaryily for me.
