Walking Practice by Dolki Min
3.0
“The desire to become a member of society always overpowers the shame of being embraced by their system.” Walking Practice is a graphic and somewhat horrifying novel about gender, identity, physical disabilities, and navigating a world that will always view you as other. The story is fresh and critical. The translation seems to be well done. Despite all of this…the book was not for me. Had there not been graphic descriptions of killing and eating their prey it would have been more palatable…pun intended.
