We all know the story of beauty and the beast. But what if it happened in modern times? What if the beast wasn't what we thought? In this modern day retelling you will meet Bella who falls in love with Gabriel(Gaston) and tries to live her happily ever after, or so she thought. Gabriel isn't who he seems and with the blinders off, Bella has to do the one thing she can. RUN. Only her running will end up taking her straight to another beast entirely. The beast all of New Haven fear and avoid. Will the beast succumb to his beastly tendencies, or will the man inside break through for her.
The way Gabriel is depicted in this story is the exact way I would have pictured a modern day Gaston. I did not expect a lot of things that happened in this book. Especially what the beast was and what came of it. If you love beauty and the beast then I highly recommend this read.
