Harley Quinn: Reckoning by Rachael Allen

4.0

This book really takes smashing the patriarchy to a whole new level.
We follow 18 year-old Harley as she navigates being a woman in STEM and how the men in the field cannot seem to see any of the women as equals. I had so much fun reading and following along with this gang of girls and seeing how they take down the next sexist and/creep next! About halfway through it starts taking even more of a mystery/thriller approach which worked so well!
I did however find parts pretty predicable but that didn’t ruin any of my fun. Harley was written very fun and likable to me and really did feel like a teenage Harley Quinn and not just “Haha Harley Quinn all kooky and wacky”.
Since it does deal with people being creeps (but luckily getting their comeuppance) I would say there is a TW for SA, men being creepy and making gross comments in general, and talks of abuse.
Thank you so much again Netgalley and Rachael Allen for the chance to read this for free in exchange for an honest review!
