Noah needs a fake mate because the hospital board found out that he’s an Alpha and he’s afraid he might lose his job because unbonded Alphas are considered aggressive and dangerous. Mackenzie needs a fake boyfriend to present to her grandmother so she will stop setting her up on disastrous dates, so they make a deal to help each other.
I’m not sure what happened with this book exactly. Everything I learned about it fits my reading taste so I was sure I would love it but that wasn’t the case. Now I’m not saying the book is bad. I enjoyed the characters, the chemistry was there and the storyline might’ve been predictable but so are 90% of Rom-Coms and that’s not a bad thing. I can’t really point out anything bad in particular about the book but I did have to force myself to finish it after 5 days.
