So much better than the original Fushigi Yugi series! Amazing what 10 years can do for a manga creator's maturity and talent. The flow and pacing of this volume was great, especially in comparison to the original series. I had time to get to know the main character and come to like her, relationships felt more natural, a reasonable amount of plot happened in this volume. I liked the art and paneling better, but mainly the pacing was better. I'm a little confused by the character who has the ability to grow boobs at any time. But overall I liked this volume and would be willing to continue the series.
